Introducing your men’s coaching team for 2023/24 season.
Head Coaches: Fraser Morrison & Marc Maiden
Fraser brings a huge range of National League experience to the club having formally played at Watsonians and captaining Stewarts Melville in the last few years. His knowledge and enthusiasm have set him in good stead as a coach and has taken on the task of coaching our Forwards play.
Marc is of course a well known face at the club and epitomises what it means to be a Corstorphine player. The former club captain has taken the lead as backs and skills coach and again brings his years of National league experience to the table. Marc's attention to detail is making huge differences to the skill levels across the squad.
Guest Coach: Steve Lawrie
We are fortunate enough to have a volunteer coach in the shape of Steve Lawrie. Steve is of course a hugely experienced coach and currently plys his fulltime trade at Edinburgh Rugby as Forwards Coach. It's fantastic to have such an enthusiastic experienced coach making himself regularly available to us and brings a fantastic dynamic to training sessions.
Ast. Head Coach & Analysis: Graham Inglis
Wind, Rain, Snow, Sun, Jingles - he's a force in his own right. When you talk about enthusiasm for the game you have to mention this man. Another well known face and hugely experienced coach. Jingles' insight and and video analysis has been a staple over the last few years and big reason why we continue to climb the ladder.
Defence Coach: Ross Taylor
Ross also brings his years of 1st team and National league experience with him. Having lead our minis coaching programme for the last few years he has now been charged with looking after our defensive play. Specifically concentrating on the new tackle height laws, line speed and tackle technique.
Scrum Coach: Kevin West
Having worked closely with Parky over the last few years Kevin now steps up as lead Scrum coach. He brings his years of front and back row experience and will assist Fraser in guiding the forwards. Specifically concentrating on body position and technique for the front row .
A good blend of playing experience and coaching prowess in our coaching team this year that has brought up the intensity and enjoyment at pre season training as the team continues to prepare for the upcoming preseason games.
We are of course delighted to have Steve Lawrie (Edinburgh Rugby Forwards Coach) as our regular guest coach. We also anticipate having further guest coaches throughout the season.
We’d welcome new players along. DM for more details.
