Byram Tavadia, Men’s Vice President of Rugby said “Following an extensive search and consideration of some very good applicants the club has picked a very qualified candidate to lead the men’s team forward into season 2025/26. Gavin brings a strong track record which boasts good experience across rugby as a player and coach that will be invaluable for our goal of progressing our men’s team to the next level. We have a strong player base to work with and hope to bring in reinforcements in time for pre-season so Gavin can get off on the right foot. I’m sure all our players and members will make him feel very welcome at Corstorphine.”
Gavin said “I’m delighted to get the opportunity to take Corstorphine Cougars forward in its 75th year. It’s my first venture into East Regional rugby so I’m looking forward to the challenges that brings. I’ve been impressed by the story and ambition at Corstorphine and its plans for player development. I’ve met with a few senior players already and I’m looking forward to working with the team this season.”
Gavin also runs his own coaching business which we hope will provide an excellent opportunity for our youth players to develop as they make their way into adult rugby in the coming seasons.
